Taylor Momsen puts her style down to laziness

Taylor Momsen insists she puts no effort into her style.

The 16-year-old ‘Gossip Girl’ star has become a fashion icon thanks to her laid-back look, but Taylor claims the only deciding factor in the outfits she wears is whether the clothes are clean or not.

Taylor – who signed to IMG Models when she was 14 – said: “I really just put on what’s clean. The easiest thing to find in the morning because I’m usually running late.

“It’s just turned into style – I just don’t bother, I’m just too lazy.”

Although she is a lazy dresser, Taylor does have an interest on fashion just like her ‘Gossip Girl’ character.

The actress – who portrays chic schoolgirl Jenny Humphrey in the US teen drama series – admits she doesn’t have much in common with her TV alter-ego apart from their shared interest in keeping up with the latest trends and styles.

She recently said: “Am I anything like Jenny? I actually think I’m a lot different to Jenny, in most ways I guess. Obviously we have similarities, we’re both fashion orientated, we both very much enjoy fashion, but as far as personality traits and the way we view the world I guess is very different.

“I’m not Jenny Humphrey everyone, I’ll make that announcement once and for all. It’s just a character I play on television.”
