Julia Roberts secretly converted to Hinduism

Julia Roberts seemed to be in great spirits as she made her way to a visit on The Late Show With David Letterman in New York City, New York on August 4, 2010. The 'Eat, Pray, Love' actress wore her usual classic black, but carried a very bright handbag that looked like a piece she may have picked up during her travels for the movie. Roberts divulged that her children traveled with her as she shot on many exotic locations for the film. Fame Pictures, IncJulia Roberts secretly converted to Hinduism whilst she was in India last September to shoot for her film Eat, Pray and Love.

The Oscar winning actress was born to a Baptist and Catholic couple in the Bible Belt of the United States.  But Julia Roberts has revealed that she is now a practising Hindu after filming her new movie in India and Bali.

It is believed that Julia to have converted to the religion while shooting her upcoming release Eat, Pray and Love.

A source close to the star said “After shooting, she now often visits temples to “chant, pray and celebrate.” Born to a Baptist and Catholic couple, she is hoping to be reincarnated as “something quiet” after the pressures of fame.”

Julia told Elle magazine: “I’m definitely a practising Hindu. Golly, I’ve been so spoiled with my friends and family in this life. Next time I want to be just something quiet and supporting.”
