Zac Efron the secret shopper

Zac Efron has to “sneak around” when he goes to the supermarket.

The High School Musical actor says he tries his best to keep a low profile while doing his shopping.

“I do sneak around a lot more when I go to the supermarket — it’s kind of ridiculous,” he said.

“I’ve found the best thing to do is try to avoid eye contact at all costs till someone says, ‘Hey, I know who you are. You’re Zac.’ I just try not to draw attention to myself.”

“If people come up to me and say, ‘Hey, you’re that kid that sings and dances, that High School Musical kid,’ I will just say ‘no’ and keep going.”

“Vanessa and I went to Coachella, the music festival out in the desert, earlier this year and I didn’t want to go as a VIP because that’s weird, I wanted to go and really be part of the festival. So I grew a moustache.”

“We had two great days without being noticed before the paparazzi spotted us on the last day. I can go to a lot of places in Japan where people don’t recognize me, especially if I wear a mask.”
