Allison Iraheta found American Idol “a little weird” without Simon Cowell

Allison Iraheta says she found American Idol weird without Simon Cowell being on the panel.

The former American Idol contestant may have found it weird without Cowell, and the addition of new judges Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler, at first, but approves of the show making changes.

“It was different, right? I think change is good. We all miss him. It’s a little weird at first. I think it’s cool. It’s about time they did a little something different.” she told MTV.

She also spoke about the age limit being lowered to 15.

“I was scared for my auditions. 15? That’s when everyone is figuring out who the hell they are. I didn’t even know who the hell I was until a year ago.”

Allison also offered advice to singers hoping to make it in the competition this year.

“Really, be you, be who you are, be true to yourself.” she said.
