Nancy Dell’Olio has become the latest star to exit Strictly Come Dancing in the spooktacular 2011 Halloween special!
In a dark, dark ballroom, on a dark, dark night, Sir Bruce Forsyth & Tess Daly unleashed a truly bewitching ballroom bonanza, in the Strictly Come Dancing 2011 Halloween spooktacular!
All eleven remaining couples donned their most ghoulish & ghostly costumes, and took to the dance floor with an array of devilishly spectacular ballroom and Latin routines. They aimed to cast a spell on the fearsome foursome – judges Len Goodman, Alesha Dixon, Bruno Tonioli & Craig Revel Horwood – and win valuable votes from the viewing public.
On tonight’s terrifying results show, the judges’ scores were combined with the results of the viewers’ votes and Nancy Dell’Olio & Anton Du Beke and Audley Harrison & Natalie Lowe were revealed to be in the bottom two.
After a tense moment Nancy Dell’Olio & Anton Du Beke, who had danced a rumba in Saturday’s show, were announced as the next couple to leave the show.
When asked what she would miss about her Strictly experience, Nancy stated “Let me think about it… I will miss many moments, of course. It has been such a full on experience. I am going to go back to the rest of my life, but of course I’m going to miss a lot of it. I’ve had a lot of fun, it’s been an incredible experience. It has given to me quite a lot, meeting incredible people, and learning dancing… partly! I’m definitely going to keep dancing, because it is fantastic exercise, not only physically but for the mind, for everything, so I definitely will.”
Her professional partner Anton added, “I tell you what I’m going to miss the most. I’m just going to miss Nancy. [to Nancy] I’m going to miss you. You are a superstar. You are absolutely lovely. I have had the most lovely time”
Sunday’s results show featured a performance from boyband sensation, The Wanted, singing their latest hit single Lightening.
Next week’s show will be broadcast on Saturday 5th November 2011 at 6.25pm with the results show on Sunday 6th November at 7.25pm on BBC One and BBC One HD.
