Dannii Minogue has teamed up with an X Factor reject to put tracks together for her brand new album.

Ruth Lorenzo, who finished in fifth place in X Factor 2008, has written songs for the new mum’s album and the pair have already been in the recording studio together.

The duo got on famously well during the show, for which Dannii mentored Ruth, and it seems the pair are a match made in heaven in the studio too.

One of the tracks Spanish Ruth, 27, wrote for the Aussie judge, Because You’re Beautiful, Dannii apparently ‘loved’ and went wild for.

Speaking to The Sun, Ruth said: ‘She was rocking out with her big belly doing air guitar. She loved it. I said if she wanted to sing it she could have it. We got in the studio and it was so much fun.’

Dannii hasn’t had as much musical success as her big sister Kylie who recently stormed the charts with new album Aphrodite.
This was the first time she had been back in a studio since recording Neon Nights, her 2003 album.
