Noel and Liam Gallagher just can’t get on, resulting in Noel leaving Oasis!
He posted a statement on the band’s website explaining his decision came ‘with some sadness and great relief’.
‘I simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer,’ the 42-year-old explains.
This is one of many fall-outs that The Gallaghers have had since they rose to fame in 1994.
Lock up your grandads or at the very least disable their voicemail, Russell Brand is returning to the radio.
Brand is to broadcast a show on Talksport radio just six months after he quit the BBC over the Andrew Sachs prank calls.
The show will be a two-hour football special on Sunday evening with Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher.
The station said the show promises “a heavy dose of cutting-edge comedy” and “the odd eye-opening anecdote”.
The programme, which will air at 21:00 could become a regular fixture if it proves a hit with listeners.
I know we are all divided on the Russell Brand show prank issue but there are two sides to every argument…
Noel Gallagher has spoken out in support of Russell, telling BBC Northern Ireland “At worst it was a juvenile prank that wasn’t unfunny but it’s hardly offensive. You know what? There’s now a massive divide. Them and us.
People like David Cameron – who should be more worried about the money that his party are fiddling out of politics – than getting involved in something that doesn’t concern him – then there’s us. I feel bad for Russ, cause he really loved doing the show. I loved being on it as well.”
Fans of Russell’s are so upset at his decision to leave Radio 2 they have set up a petition to get him back. View it here.
Update – Jonathan Ross has been suspended from all BBC broadcasting for 12 weeks.
The head of Radio 2 Lesley Douglas has just announced her resignation.
