Movie critics gave the second SATC movie, starring Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, Kim Cattrall and Kristin Davis, terrible reviews – some even branding it ‘borderline racist’.

Cast members, including SJP who plays Carrie and John Corbett who plays Aiden, were expecting a thirdĀ instalment.

SJP has been quoted as saying: ‘I hope Carrie will live on.’, and John said: ‘I think the girls are up for [another movie] and Michael Patrick King has lots of ideas.’, however it is not looking likely.

In it’s opening weekend, the second film made $37million – however the first film made $57million.

Grazia reported that Sarah is gutted that there won’t be a third film.

‘SJP did not see this coming,’ an industry insider told the magazine. ‘She has been in tears about it all.’
