Wheatus enter UK singles chart… again!

Legendary Flecking-favourites Wheatus have re-entered the UK singles chart.

Not content with a number two when Teenage Dirtbag was released back in 2000, the awesome track – which featured on the Loser soundtrack – has continued to pop up in various charts.

Little over a year since they bagged a number 35, they’re back – a new entry in the top 40 at number 36.

The fact that Teenage Dirtbag keeps popping up in the charts just goes to show what a timeless classic it is.

The teen anthem has been covered by the likes of Weezer, All Time Low and Dashboard Confessional. Even big pop names like Popstars The Rivals winners Girls Aloud and Irish boyband Westlife have had a crack at performing the song on tour.

Front-man Brendan Brown previously spoke about his favourite covers of the track in an interview with Flecking Records. “The Ukulele Orchestra Of Great Britain and The SCALA covers are both pretty damn impressive.”

“Such an honor to have had that happen, to be included in that repertoire, very, very cool,” he added.

Good news Wheatus fans! They’re heading back to the UK next month. Click here for tour dates.
